Democrasexy's Election Spectacle Hope Watch / Doom Watch and Carnival of Care
Event description
Elections are a circus, amirite? That's why we're bringing all three rings to Cheer Up Charlies on Election Night for Democrasexy's Election Spectacle Hope Watch / Doom Watch and Carnival of Care!
No matter which way the night goes, we are going to want to be in community and we are going to need to look out for each other well beyond this election. Community care -- but make it a carnival!

We also know that regardless of who is president, the Texas Capitol is an absolute lion's den waiting to devour the rights of women and trans and queer Texans. We need to be prepared to do some lion taming once the state legislature reconvenes in January! *whip crack sound effect* That's why this event is a fundraiser for Democrasexy, a creative civic engagement organization that builds community and makes it feel good to get involved in movements for change.
Thank you to our event partners: Pop Girl Politics, Working Families Party, Deeds Not Words & Waking Giants! Sponsorships are still available - reach out to becky@democrasexy.com for details.
- ALL AGES WELCOME -Â

AÂ NOTE ABOUT TICKET PRICES
We are trying to offer fair payment to each of the performers, artists, activists, and other delight-bringers we've invited to participate in this event. We are also trying to raise money for Democrasexy so that we can continue running our civic engagement, political education, and community-building programs that serve Texas (particularly Texas women and trans and queer folks).Â
We want this event to be accessible to all, but we also want artists and activists to be paid for what they offer the community. So when you are deciding which price point to purchase at, please keep all of this in mind and pay what you are able.Â
If you purchase at the $270 level you will be thanked from the stage! Otherwise all ticket prices include the same thing: the cost of your entry and the performances and activities that are included in the event.
