Are you wondering what tech and non-tech IT careers are available,
and how to get into them? This session will demystify careers and job
titles in the tech industry, making it easier for you to get to your
dream job. For a wide range of IT jobs, we will cover job titles,
skills required, career path, salary, and how to get in. The speaker
Alan Kan has had 20 years in the tech industry, including 10 years at
IBM. Having experienced many different roles in the industry, he has
now co-founded Mission Ready to help graduates to gain work experience.
Each
week during semester the AUT Lunchtime ICT and Engineering Employer
Lunchtime Series provides a platform for industry to connect with
emerging young talent and for students gain insight and awareness about
the roles and opportunity to work in the tech sector.
For
Techweek we are opening this event to the public to join students and
alumni to hear about this week's organisation, their work, the various
roles they offer and skills required. It is an interactive session that
provides learning about the quality opportunities ICT and engineering
helping you make an educated decision about your career in tech.
