Derrin has forged an international career over the past couple of decades releasing thirteen albums in that period to much acclaim. If you google Derrin Nauendorf or search YouTube, you will find countless links and pieces to view to give you an idea of what Derrin is about. 

In August at The Coolroom, Derrin launches his NEW BAND entitled The Desert Machine. It comprises of Derrin Nauendorf guitars, Geoff Duck Donaldson and Colin Thompson. Derrin says of the new band, " These are sounds I've had floating around in my head for at least 20 years. I've always wanted to be in a band which performs Electric Desert Roots Music. The band has a couple of songs, a bunch of lyrics and we incorporate that with improvised moments through the night. It's immensely fun and healing to us". 

“ I found a soul brother in Geoff Duck Donaldson who weaves his sounds beautifully to my ear through the feeling of the music. I hope the audience feels the same. That is our intention. Healing music."  Fun. And about Colin Thompson, Derrin says we have been exploring exciting and different new sounds together with fun results.

For the Castlemaine show I will bring the acoustic also to give people a taste of my solo stuff too, but this is primarily to introduce the new band The Desert Machine!! "
