Desert Mob After Dark returns in 2026 for an unforgettable and intimate evening celebrating art, music, food and culture.

Enjoy a ‘taste of country’ with a unique alfresco dining experience featuring bush foods and flavours hosted by Rayleen Brown, of Kungkas Can Cook, alongside Maxi and the Yaye's Café team.

Join curators Hetti Perkins, Aspen Beattie and Kelli Cole for an exclusive after-hours tour of the Desert Mob and Vincent Lingiari Art Award exhibitions.

Mudburra musician, environmental advocate and community leader Ray Dimakarri Dixon shares his music and storytelling under the stars, speaking deeply to culture, country and resistance.

Desart is the peak arts body representing Aboriginal art centres in Central Australia.

Established in 1992, incorporated in 1993, Desart's 39 independently governed Aboriginal art centre members collectively represent over 8000 artists. Viewing culture as the foundation of all its work, Desart prioritises the preservation, expression and continuity of Aboriginal culture by supporting these art centres through advocacy and representation, business and operational support, and promotion and awareness.

Desert Mob is presented annually by Desart in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, and brings together hundreds of artists to celebrate desert culture in one of the country's most significant cultural festivals. It is one of the nation’s oldest Aboriginal art events, featuring a flagship exhibition, artist talks and art market, as well as public programming and satellite events throughout the local community.
