This workshop is designed for teaching staff eager to elevate their collaborative learning strategies.

This practical workshop supports educators in designing group assessments that enable meaningful collaboration and active participation. You’ll explore strategies for forming effective student groups and designing tasks that encourage inclusive engagement and social learning.

The session also introduces collaborative technologies such as discussion boards, shared documents, and interactive presentations to enhance learner autonomy and cooperation. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be equipped with tools and techniques to create group assessments that empower students and enhance your teaching practice.

Learning objectives

In this workshop, you will be supported to:

  • design group work tasks that encourage active participation from all members and facilitate social learning

  • integrate collaborative learning technologies to your teaching including discussion boards, collaborative documents and interactive presentations to enhance learner autonomy and facilitate learner cooperation.
