Most trees can flourish in poor, clay soils thanks to the magic of fungi which do much of the hard work in supplying plants with water and nutrients.
Participants will learn:
Tricks and tips on how to plant a tree in clay soil so it survives winter waterlogging and summer drought
How to inoculate with fungi and prepare biochar to increase a tree’s resilience
A simple way to construct a fungally-dominated composting system
Workshop includes:
