This course runs 9am-4.30pm on 27 October and 9am-1pm on 28 October.

Overview

The world is full of complex problems that need people's urgent attention to solve. As humans we come with many preconceived ideas, assumptions and biases that give us blinkers not only to possible solutions but to what the real problem is, hidden in plain sight.

Design Thinking is a discipline and collection of hands-on methods that helps us solve the right problem by asking the right questions and understand human needs by connecting ourselves directly with those people affected. It allows us to challenge our assumptions through empathy , rapid testing, feedback and prototyping.

The competitive advantage for your business can evolve when you approach the problem you are solving or product you are developing from a completely new way of thinking. But how do we open ourselves up and learn to challenge everything we thought we knew in the face of new information? This is how Design Thinking can help.
