DesignFreo On Location 13: Kate Moore & Gian Tonossi / Burt Street

‘An experiment with small spaces and big tables’ is how architects Kate and Gian describe the renovation of their 1890s semi-detached cottage in Fremantle. For On Location 13, we invite you inside this warm, elegant and playful family home.

The project consists of a light heritage renovation, a new extension and a flexible outhouse designed for storing bikes and the occasional visiting relative! Celebrating the value of what exists, it peels back a colourful history through layers of paint and weathered materials. 

Join us on site to hear Kate and Gian tell the design story of this contemporary overlay to a classic limestone cottage.

Where: Fremantle (address on ticket)
Tickets: $30 plus booking fee
