    Event description

It takes a lot for us to cross the bridge, but this month’s house is worth the journey! Join us in Nedlands to explore a new family home by national architectural practice, Ewert Leaf

It’s the first house in Western Australia to be built almost entirely out of cross-laminated timber - framed up in less than a weekend, it is certified German Passivhaus. Don’t know what that means? Together we will find out in a conversation with the homeowner / architect.

We’ll see how sustainability and beauty work together in this environmentally responsive dwelling. Three stories high, it covers just 35% of the block and is comfortable without air conditioning or heating. Learn why you should care about 'blower door tests' and 'CO2 measurement techniques’ and come away feeling inspired and hopeful.

The story of this house is something we need to hear as we transition towards a challenging climate future.

    When: Saturday 28 September 2024
    Time: Session 10am – 11.30am | Session 2: 11.30am - 1pm
Where: Nedlands (address in confirmation email and on ticket)
    Tickets: $30 plus booking fee
Other: We kindly ask that you remove your shoes at the door. Thank you!

A big thanks to our stellar sponsors BAUWERK Colour, White House Property Partners and Detail.
