Designing your native nature strip garden
Description
Discover how to beautify your nature strip with indigenous plants to support a healthier, more biodiverse and more connected urban ecosystem.
Stonnington and Glen Eira City Councils are partnering to deliver a free, hands-on nature strip planting workshop with Kieran Dickson, a landscape gardener and educator known for creating biodiverse, climate-resilient gardens that bring communities and nature together.
Local community group Rewilding Stonnington will also share tips and tricks from their experience planting nature strips across Stonnington using indigenous plants.
What to expect:
Expert guidance on designing your nature strip whilst considering safety and maintenance requirements
Practical tips on plant selection, layout and site preparation, including learnings from local examples
Time to discuss and sketch your ideas, and receive feedback

Please note:
This workshop provides general guidance aligned with both councils. Permit requirements and application processes differ across Stonnington and Glen Eira, so please check guiding documentation from your local council.
