Develop your Business Idea with Design Thinking

Design thinking strategies can help you to focus on the customer perspective when developing new business concepts. In this two part workshop, you will brainstorm, explore and critique new business ideas that solve a problem or create new opportunities for a paying customer. Discover what the lean canvas model is and how you can use it to explore the commercial potential of your business concept through a business plan on a page, highlighting key areas that will require validation.
This topic covers:
- Understand the basic principles of design thinking and how it can be applied to new business ideas
- Develop strategies for creative brainstorming and prioritising new ideas
- Learn about the lean canvas model and how to validate the commercial potential of new business ideas
Key dates
This workshop is held across two parts:
- Session One: Friday 9th of May, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
- Session Two: Friday 16th of May, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
This session is for prospective and current small business owners that would like to test and develop their new business idea.
This workshop will be presented by Dr Natasha Teakle. The facilitator of this topic, Innovation Cluster is a leading provider of business incubator programs, investment groups, strategy sessions and hackathons, having successfully designed, facilitated and coordinated these for clients nationwide. They are dedicated to driving collaboration and innovation, having supported more than 200 startups through their programs during the past five years.

Bookings are limited to two tickets each, however you can make more than one booking. If you are booking for more than one person, please provide each person's email address so they receive our emails with important links and downloads.

If you cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be made available to another business owner. You can cancel your booking from the update order button on your order confirmation email. Cancellations and refunds for paid workshops can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop starts.
