PART 1
18th October, 10am to 12pm
Where to begin? Aimed at not-for-profit organisations, groups, clubs and associations who are looking to involve volunteers for the first time.Â
This session will guide you through the initial steps of establishing best practice models in volunteer leadership and management.
By the end of the session you will have a better understanding of:
- The Why to involving volunteers
- the importance of a mission statement to your volunteer engagement
- the benefits to both the volunteer and the organisation
- the key motivations behind volunteering
- rights and responsibilities of volunteers and organisations
- the Volunteer Protection Act & WHS Laws.
PART 2
14th November, 10am to 12pm
Now that you understand the motivations behind volunteering and the key benefits to both your organisation and to volunteers, part two will take a deeper look into the practicalities of successfully involving volunteers. It will cover planning, compliance and regulatory requirements and the pillars of volunteer engagement best practice.
In this session you will learn:
- Strategic planning for volunteer involvement
- the compliance and regulatory requirements
- the pillars of volunteer engagement best practice
- Toolkit essentials.
