The Solution Focused Approach is currently a leading method in leadership, coaching, education, and counselling throughout the world. The principles of the Solution Focused approach are simple to understand and easily mastered with practice - it has been likened to learning a language. From this workshop, people will gain skills and knowledge that can be immediately applied to their context or environment. At the heart of Solution focused practice is the belief that change is possible in people’s lives, and change is happening all the time. When a client is asked to notice change it amplifies it makes a difference to the client. It is a great pleasure and honour to walk with clients during this process.

In the Solution Focused workshop, you will:

+ Learn the art or be refreshed in the Solution Focused approach

+ Develop a Solution Focused mindset to ask questions with hope

+ Draw on the wealth of Bible resources for hope

+ Apply with particular attention to people living with Grief and Loss, Trauma and Couples (my favourite issues)

+ Apply questions to help others find confidence, resources and move forward

+ Practice the skills needed to apply the Solution Focused approach

+ Share your strengths and resources in a Solution Focused way

+ Facilitate a Solution Focused conversation with individuals or groups

Bio

Matt Cameron lives in Timaru, NZ and is a counsellor, Solution Focused trainer, teacher, and tennis referee. He also enjoys being a home handyman, building or fixing things. His Christian faith is important to him and he serves on a leadership team in his church. A NZCCA member, he also leads the Online Region. He has been married to his beautiful wife for 25 years and they have two boys in their early 20's. He enjoys various sports and has played competitive tennis, badminton, soccer, rugby and most recently fistball - being selected to play in the NZ Masters team (google "fistball" if you haven’t heard of it!).
