Interested school teams(3-5 people) are encouraged to join us on November 20th for a full day of training to help schools start a high school cybersecurity pathway.
While this event is free, registration is required and participation is limited to 25 Ohio Schools. Only one registration is needed per team.
Purpose: Build the capacity of schools to create a Cybersecurity Pathway that enables and supports diverse students to earn industry credentials, participate in work-based learning, and prepare to successfully enter the workforce and postsecondary education/training within the field. Following the design lab, interested schools will have the opportunity to apply to be one of five pilot schools that will receive coaching and technical assistance from EnvisionEdPlus through December 2025 to design and incubate their pathways. Pilot schools will be expected to start their new Cybersecurity Pathway in the fall of 2025.
Who should attend: ANY Ohio High School. Each participating school can bring a team of three to five individuals. Schools are encouraged to include the following team members: high school administrator, central office administrator, school counselor, or teacher who might teach the new program. Additionally, we will recommend that high school teams include either a middle school administrator or teacher to ensure strong computer science programming and articulation across grades 7-12.
