DFPM returns to bring about the DUB.SEPT!*

On the heels of a overwhelmingly successful launch (IYKYK. #blessup to you all), DFPM continues on our mission to build hope from dystopia. The next step is a smaller, more intimate party focused on a single dub-adjacent genre. The premise is simple:

All dubstep. All night. 140 people. One red light.

For this we've gathered a lineup of old and new school CBR legends, offering them an outlet to dig out and play their favourite classic dubstep tunes and melt our faces off.

Tickets are limited. Our first event sold out. Don't miss this chance to join your fellow lovers of wub, stank face, and heavy, sub-frequency bass as we come together to form the DUB.SEPT!

The Lineup [A/Z]

We have a stacked lineup of local legends:

Aeon Knight [Clubhouse OG / Electron.Dance]

Repping the old school, we have the co-founder of the mythical Clubhouse and host of the legendary Under the Radar parties. Aeon Knight returns to his hometown to deliver a lesson in dubstep across CDJs and 1200s. This set will be a real treat combining a trip down memory lane and an education. Not to be missed!

Key Seismic [Soul Jazz CBR] / It's a London Thing]

Bridging generations, we have CBR stalwart Key Seismic. A genre-spanning member of the Soul Jazz crew, well-known for deploying barrages of sonic artillery that, as his name suggests, will shake the venue to its very foundations.

Suga [Sweet Tooth]

Repping the new school we have Suga, a rising star of the CBR dance music scene. We've all danced to her techno, bass, and d'n'b sets. This will be a chance to dance to her technical skill and ear for banging tunes as she delves into the deeper, darker sections of her USB.

Zala <3 Squishy B. [CBR Bass Babes / Eclectic Selectas]

Finally, to emphasise the 'family' aspect of this 'sept', we have a power couple of the CBR dance music scene playing our inaugural 'x <3 y' set. Zala & Squishy B will be delivering a blend of dubstep-adjacent heaters that will shine the light of romance to help us through the darkness.

Supporting the lineup are three members of the DFPM Crew:

Imbibe will be warming up with some chill, shamanic dubstep.

Selektah Lumo will be kick off the party of with a lesson in dub culture that will set the rules of engagement for the night.

The Fixer will be closing the night with a cool down set of deep, luscious tunes to send you home with a smile.

The Sound

We are fortunate to be supported by the mighty Freedom of Assembly Sound System.

Famous for enabling the Spangled Drongos, the Trust FM launch, and the Rooftop Roots & Reggae event. Fresh with a new set of drivers. Ready to blow your mind.

Expect to be enveloped in deep, heavy bass. It will be loud. Earplugs a must.

The Theme

As with all our events, this party is set in the near future. Help us make it immersive.

Dress for an uprising, dystopian date night, or covert operations.

We will have a token of appreciation for those that help us make the night immersive.

The Venue

DUB.SEPT will take place at the Blank Cultural Platform, an awesome space located on Level 2 of 131 City Walk (above King O'Malleys). Entry to the event will be via Mort St.

DFPM acknowledges that this event will be held on Ngunnawal/Ngambri land that was never ceded. Always was. Always will be.

In honour of that, please respect the space and its custodians.
