  • A minimum upfront payment is required to secure your order. This includes a surcharge, a non-refundable cancellation fee, and a refundable deposit.
  • You’ll receive a notification before each payment attempt. You must ensure sufficient funds are available.

Event description

Join our beginner-level workshops to learn the fundamentals of the Wiradyuri language! Over three days, you'll discover how to pronounce Wiradyuri sounds, words, and phrases, including:

  • Family terms

  • Numbers

  • Animal names

  • A basic Acknowledgement of Country

Workshop Schedule & Locations

Each workshop is one hour long and runs for three consecutive days: August 12th, 13th, and 14th. Please plan to attend all three sessions, as new content will be covered each day.

  • These workhops commence at 11:00 AM: Wundirra Kelso Community Centre (with Wahluu Health Aboriginal Corporation Bathurst)

Who Can Attend?

Places are limited. While Wiradyuri people, other Aboriginal people, and parents/carers of Aboriginal children will be given preference, non-Aboriginal people are also welcome to attend.

Registering your interest does not guarantee a spot. You will be notified the week before the workshops if you have been allocated a place.

Workshops are being facilitated by Aunty Joylene Simpson and Aunty Leanna Carr assisted by Jonathon Jones.

Light refreshments served. Donations are welcome.
