    You are cordially invited by the Sydney Health Partners Diabetes and Obesity Clinical Academic Group (DO-CAG) Co-chairs Professor Louise Baur, Professor Stephen Twigg as well as coordinators Stephanie Noonan and Ruth Tredinnick to our hybrid 'Diabetes and Obesity Research Showcase' event at the Royal North Shore Kolling Auditorium on Friday 22nd of November from start time 830am-12pm. (FREE light lunch/networking from 1130am-12pm) 

    The morning will include a warm welcome from Northern Sydney Local Health District Chief Executive Anthony Schembri, remarks from our DO-CAG Co-chairs as well as 3-minute rapid fire presentations from our early to mid-career researchers, senior clinicians as well as a lived experience panel moderated by A/Prof Marg McGill. 

    Attendance is represented from across all Sydney Health Partners i.e. Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, Northern Sydney Local Health District, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (Westmead campus), Sydney Local Health District, The University of Sydney and Western Sydney Local Health District. There will be an opportunity for discussion and light refreshments by Flavours Catering to follow.

    The purpose of DO-CAG is to deliver meaningful health outcomes for people with diabetes and obesity across the life-course, through enabling high quality multidisciplinary research, fostering equitable collaborations amongst academics, clinicians, allied health and consumers as well as increasing the capacity and capabilities of researchers, and improving competitiveness and impact in research translation.

    The best parking for Kolling is P1 Car Park (map below). The Auditorium can hold up to 200 guests max so get your tickets early! You can either take the lift to Level 5 or walk up one flight of stairs – street level is Level 4. The Institute is a 10 min walk from St Leonards Train Station. Refer to Wilson Parking at Royal North Shore Hospital for hourly parking rates. Metered street parking is also an option.
