Join Diabetes NZ Bay of Plenty Lakes Youth for a Family Event at Rocktopia - Clip & Climb, Mount Maunganui! This activity day is for youth with diabetes from the BOP, Rotorua and Taupō areas and their whānau. Clip & Climb is suitable for anyone 3 years and older.

Clip 'n Climb combines the thrill of a theme park with the action of indoor rock climbing. Once you enter the arena you will be surrounded by 26 fun and colourful climbing challenges with 31 fun climbs plus two adventurous add ons. These walls stretch all the way to the ceiling and encourage great problem-solving skills at a level that is comfortable and fun for everyone.

Once you’ve climbed a wall, you simply jump off and start another wall.

Our Clip & Climb session runs from 2-3pm, to ensure everyone is ready to start the session at 2pm please arrive by 1.45pm so your children can be harnessed and ready for the session.

This is a great opportunity to get together as a community and meet other families.

Health & Safety

- All climbers and supervisors need to complete a safety briefing for the booked activity.

- Climbers need to wear covered shoes and/or socks to climb in. No bare feet, jandals, slides etc.

- All climbers with long hair must have it tied back.

- Climbers 3-9 years old, a parent/caregiver must be in arm reach of your children at all times.

- Climbers 10-13 years old, a parent/caregiver must be within eye slight of your children at all times.
