Event description

Diabetes NZ Canterbury Youth invite you to the Live Brave Mana Ora Family Camp for 2025 at Waipara Adventure Centre. The Diabetes NZ Canterbury Youth Family Camp 2025 is for young people living with diabetes from the Canterbury and West Coast areas and their whānau.

Come along and enjoy the amazing activities on offer while connecting youth living with diabetes and their families.

This video was taken at our Tauranga Family Camp; facilities and activities may vary.

All meals are catered for by the Waipara catering team, this includes all main meals plus morning tea, afternoon tea and supper. The catering staff will endeavour to provide the basic carb information form the brands of the products they use, to make it easier for parents to manage carb counting for their own children. Camp will not be formally carb counted as people may eat varying amounts of the food provided. Scales will be provided for weighing food.

All diabetes care is to be managed by the families. Please bring your own hypo treatments.

Further camp information will be emailed out prior to attendance.

The cost of attending Family Camp is subsidised thanks to generous grant funding and local fundraising.

Registrations will close 26 January 2025. For further information, please contact Victoria.

A payment plan is available, consisting of a deposit (per camper) of $57.50 + booking fee, with a balance of $47.50 + booking fee per camper due by 26 January 2025. Please contact Victoria to discuss, if you would like to register using this payment option.

Please read the Diabetes NZ Parental Code of Conduct before registering for this camp; you will be required to agree to it before completing registration.
All Live Brave Mana Ora camps must follow the Diabetes NZ Camp Guidelines
