Event description

The Diabetes NZ Nelson Youth Live Brave Mana Ora Family Camp 2026 is for young people living with diabetes from the Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and West Coast areas and their whānau.

We’re back at Bridge Valley Adventure Centre in 2026 – and this year’s theme is SUPERHEROES!

Get ready for an action-packed weekend with your whānau. On the first night, we encourage everyone to dress up as their favourite superhero – bring a costume or wear something fun to kick off camp in style!

Come along and enjoy the opportunity to try out the amazing activities on offer, while meeting other youth living with diabetes and their families.

This video was taken at our Tauranga Family Camp; facilities and activities may vary.

All meals are catered for under the guidance of a dietitian, and medical staff will be available for education at times throughout the weekend. Diabetes care is to be managed by families.

Day visits are available for Saturday 14 February for those unable to attend the full weekend.

If you have Carer Support Days available, you may be able to claim Carer Support to cover camp costs. Please get in touch with Amanda for support with this process.

Registrations will close Thursday 22 January 2026 (unless sold out prior).

Camp 2025 reached capacity quickly - so book fast to avoid missing out!

Please read the Diabetes NZ Parental Code of Conduct before registering for this camp; you will be required to agree to it before completing registration.
All Live Brave Mana Ora camps must follow the
Diabetes NZ Camp Guidelines.
