Description

The holidays bring us back to the people who've known us longest. For many of us, that's where love and strain sit closest together.

You know the moments. A comment lands where it always lands. A topic everyone has learned to avoid comes up anyway. You walk in a grown adult, and within the hour you're the peacekeeper, the debater, or the one who goes quiet, the same role you played at fifteen.

None of this means something is wrong with your family, or with you. It's what happens when people who share a history grow into different lives, different beliefs, and different ways of seeing the world.

Together we'll talk honestly about what makes the table hard, what we each bring to it, and what helps us stay present, and stay ourselves, while we're there.

Not everyone will be going home this year. Some of us are estranged. Some are grieving over an empty chair. Some are gathering a table of our own. Your experience belongs in this conversation too.

What you'll leave with

An honest dialogue about something many of us carry quietly. Perspective from neighbors who know the territory. And a felt sense of what it's like to stay steady, and stay yourself, at a table where not everyone agrees.

Our Community Dialogues bring people together around the hard questions we share as a society. This one comes close to home.

The conversation changes when you do.

Who should come

Same Table, Different Worlds is for anyone who finds the holidays complicated. It's for people who love their families and still dread certain conversations, for people who feel like someone else the moment they walk in the door, and for people who won't be at a family table this year at all. It's also for anyone who'd like to show up to this season a little steadier.

You don't need a story ready or a family problem to solve. You only need a willingness to listen, to speak honestly, and to stay curious, including about yourself.

Our approach (safety & respect)

This isn't therapy, a debate, or a place to decide who's right. Leeza facilitates so the conversation stays steady and every voice gets the same care. Our approach places curiosity before judgment, listening before responding, and people over points.

You won't be asked to forgive anyone, confront anyone, or change your mind. You can always pass. What's said in the room stays in the room.
