Event description

All ticket holders get access to the recording of the talk should you not be able to make the date or time!

In a time of multiple existential crises, in a world of increasing fear and conflict, our tender hearts struggle to stay steady in the values we most cherish.  We want to be generous, kind, understanding.  We want to be encouraging to others, and especially to our children and the young people in our lives.  But many of us are so weary in watching the troubling events of the world, especially as their impacts hit closer to home, that we struggle to keep our own light aflame, let alone help others do so.  And we live with foreboding about the future.

Join international Dharma teacher Catherine Ingram for this intimate session to speak about these matters and explore ways to use our attention—and our intentionality—to find courage in hard times.  We will also invite the possibility of living more often in the quietness of heart that underlies all thoughts, activities, or fears, despite the chaos of the world: a quietness that is there within you, even as you read these words.

“We have an accident, a loss, a diagnosis, and our only chance for sanity in the process is to expand our awareness to allow the difficulty, and to respond with awakened intelligence.” – Catherine Ingram
