Event description

Mindgardens is delighted to resume the Tertiary Referral Service for Psychosis (TRSP) webinar series for 2025 with an exciting live event: Difficult to Treat Psychosis. In addition to a standard webinar presentation, there will be an in-person event in Randwick which all audiences are welcome to attend on Wednesday 12 March.

When registering for this live event, please confirm if you will be attending in person in Sydney or online.

Speaker

This in-person event and online webinar will be presented by Professor Fiona Gaughran, a Professor in Physical Health and Clinical Therapeutics in Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London, and the Director of Research and Development at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundations Trust, where she is the Lead Consultant for the National Psychosis Service. As part of her clinical role, Professor Gaughran is responsible for identifying new, evidence-based approaches to help people who have psychotic illnesses that have proven difficult to treat. Her research interests are largely focused on the interface between physical health and serious mental illness and on the management of psychosis. Since 2020, Professor Gaughran has been on the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list, meaning she ranks among the top 1% most cited for her subject field and year of publication. She was awarded a President's Medal by the UK Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2025, which recognise exceptional contributions to psychiatry.
