WEDNESDAY 19 NOVEMBER – DIGGING DEEPER CONFERENCE
Time: 9:00am–4:00pm (Registration open from 8:30am)
Location: The Auditorium, 33 Charlotte St, Brisbane (same venue as last year)
Capacity: 110 attendees
Join us as we showcase the breadth of work undertaken by GSQ over the past 12 months. You can expect to hear talks on regional geophysics, solid geology mapping, mineral systems updates and much, much more. An agenda will be circulated closer to the event which will include presentation topics and speakers.
Digging Deeper is an in-person only event; however, the majority of presentations will be recorded and made available for viewing on YouTube following the event.
An interactive poster display session will shine a spotlight on the fantastic work being undertaken by a host of students and early career researchers.

Queensland Mineral Systems, Drill Core and Instruments Workshop
Join GSQ at the Exploration Data Centre for our popular hands-on drill core workshop, featuring representative drill cores from several key mineral deposits in northern Queensland. Featured deposits will include a variety of mineral system types economically significant in Queensland: Proterozoic Metasomatic Iron Alcali-Calcic (Iron Oxide / Iron Sulfide Cu-Au deposits) and basin-hosted (Zn-Pb, Cu) systems, and Palaeozoic Intrusion-related Gold Systems. You will get a broad outline of the geological context of the featured drill cores and summarised interpretative datasets (summary logs, alteration mineralogy – HyLogger, TIMA; geochemistry – Whole Rock, micro-XRF, LIBS) – and ample opportunities to examine the drill cores.
To ensure a productive experience for attendees, capacity for this workshop is strictly limited.
We ask that you express your interest in attending this workshop by joining our waitlist. If there is sufficient interest exceeding the workshop maximum capacity, we will offer an extension of this workshop on Friday 21 November. We will keep you updated on your position in the waitlist.
THURSDAY 20 NOVEMBER – GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOL WORKSHOP
Time: 9:30am–12:30pm
Location: The Auditorium, 33 Charlotte St, Brisbane (same venue as conference)
Capacity: 30 attendees
Resources Industry Generative AI Scoping and Feedback Workshop
Join the Geoscience Information team for an interactive workshop to help shape the future of exploration technology. We’re developing a generative AI tool, inspired by the GSQ Digital Librarian, to give explorers direct access to GSQ industry reports—streamlining data retrieval and analysis. This workshop presents a unique opportunity for industry participants to co-design a production-facing solution tailored to the specific needs of explorers. Join us to help shape a smarter, more efficient future for Queensland’s resource sector.
