Join Lauren Byleveld, Founder and Director of Studio Veld to harness the power of social media to your build your brand as an emerging artist.

Chances are you are already using some form of social media. But are you using your platforms to build your own professional brand as an artist?

We understand that building your professional brand as an emerging artist, might not come naturally to you. Having a professional presence is a way to share your creative practice, help you to be discoverable, make local and international connections and develop audience relationships.

ABOUT LAUREN BYLEVELD

Lauren is the Founder and Director of Studio Veld. Lauren is an experienced director, with around 30 years’ experience, and demonstrated history of working in the digital program delivery and business process strategy. Skilled in web design, art direction, community engagement, executive management, and strategic planning, across Australia and the UK. With a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused on Communication and Cultural Studies, Lauren has worked across many industries including Arts, Business and Professional Services, Coaching, Health and Wellbeing, Higher Education, Government, Not-for-Profit, Retail and Vocational Education and Training (VET).

WORKSHOP SERIES 2025
Helpmann Academy is proud to run professional development opportunities for emerging creatives. Our Workshop Series 2025 aims to empower emerging visual and performing artists with practical knowledge to help build and sustain a successful creative career. Our Workshop Series will present guest artists, specialists and panels covering a range of topics such as business essentials, income and funding options, marketing, and publicity, and more.

 

WHEN: Wednesday 8 October 2025 from 2:45pm for a 3:00pm start – 5:00pm

WHERE: MOD. Building, North Terrace adjacent Morphett Street Bridge

WHO: The workshop is for eligible creatives wanting to improve their professional social media presence and skills

COST: FREE for students and graduates from eligible programs – check your eligibility here! If you were previously eligible for our support but have past your five-years, you can still attend, for the general admission fee of $20 payable when you register.

By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims.
