Digital Drawing on Ipads - Phoebe Paradise Workshop - QATA and Rockhampton Museum of Art
Event description
Unlock your artistic potential at our Digital Drawing Workshop with Phoebe Paradise!
Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of digital art and be guided by Phoebe as you discover the fundamentals of Procreate in this engaging, hands-on workshop using iPads and styluses. Procreate is a digital art studio that allows you to create expressive sketches, rich paintings, and gorgeous illustrations. It is the most advanced painting app ever designed for a mobile device and is used all around the world by artists, graphic designers, content creators and animators.
In response to Rockhampton Museum of Arts’ Ken Done: Poems from Home and Other Paintings exhibition, you will be guided through Procreate’s range of vibrant, textural & painterly brushes and features to create an abstracted, Australiana work of art. This workshop is appropriate for High School teachers and Upper Primary. Morning Tea will be provided.
BYO: Ipad with Procreate installed and a stylus. Some Ipads may be able to be sourced for those with no access. Please identify in ticketing if you can bring your own Ipad or not and we will be in contact with those who don't.
Phoebe Paradise is a multi-disciplinary artist, musician and designer based in Brisbane, Australia; specialising in illustration, murals and public art installations. Phoebe’s practice explores the everyday poetics and visual identity of her hometown through surreal architectural renderings and suburban tableaus that border on speculative science fiction. Often playful and dripping with nostalgia, Phoebe’s body of work is hyper-niche, yet elicits a universal sense of belonging that has captured the imagination of her broad audience.
