DAY ONE - RTO Consulting

A critical component for planning an RTO’s self-assurance strategies is the conduct of an audit. In this one day workshop you will develop the skills required to establish required evidence, determine who will be involved in the audit, document findings and use the audit findings to plan future self-assurance activities.

This workshop is designed for RTO personnel who are responsible for compliance activities and have some knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2025.

During the workshop you will receive and use the “Self-Assurance bundle”, review tools developed by RTO Consulting to aid in the conduct of interval audits and self-assurance activities.

Workshop Agenda

What to Bring & Preparation

  • Your own fully charged laptop (smartphones are not suitable)
  • You will be expected to have a basic knowledge of The Standards for RTOs 2026
  • Bring a copy of The Standards for RTOs 2026 (if you like to refer to the hard copy)

Meals can be purchased at the venue. No catering is included for this workshop.

DAY TWO - Digital Literacy Licence

Do you want a hands-on guided experience on using generative artificial intelligence as a tool to complement your resource development for teaching? If so, this is the perfect face-to-face workshop for you to attend.

Workshop Description

Join us for this hands-on workshop, where you'll learn how to easily leverage generative artificial intelligence (or Gen Ai) to create engaging and customised classroom resources. We'll guide you through using tools like TeacherMatic, Eduaide, Canva Magic Suite, ChatGPT, Claude, and more to develop resources such as lesson plans, presentations, videos, activities and assessments.

Workshop Agenda

  • Introduction to generative AI and how it can help streamline resource creation
  • Demo of tools like TeacherMatic, Canva Magic Suite, Claude etc.
  • Step-by-step guidance on using prompts and fine-tuning outputs
  • Developing text-based resources such as lesson/session plans, presentations, activities, assessments
  • Developing multi-media resources such as audio files and videos
  • Hands-on practice time to create materials for your classroom
  • Tips for iterating and improving AI-generated content
  • Discussion of ethical use of generative AI
  • Q&A and troubleshooting common issues

What to Bring & Preparation

  • Your own fully charged laptop (smartphones are not suitable), able to install apps, access websites without being blocked, and connect to WiFi
  • We will provide a list of websites to create accounts for before the workshop – you will need to access these at the workshop, so creating them beforehand will save you time on the day
  • Your digital literacy skills! You will need to be able to use a web browser, word processor and presentation software, and be able to copy/paste between applications
  • A topic you want to work on!

DAY THREE - RTO Consulting

Assessment continues to be one of the biggest non-compliances within RTOs. During this interactive session we will explore reading a unit of competence and unpacking units.

This workshop is designed for anyone wanting to develop skills to validate and develop assessment. Participants can hold a Certificate in IV Training and Assessment however, this is not necessary.

We will provide examples of units and assessments to work with during the session.
