This report is part of a long-running international survey coordinated by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University. The News and Media Research Centre at the University of Canberra is the Australian partner institute. This is the ninth annual DNR Australia report.
This year’s report will examine how the global cost-of-living crisis is affecting news consumption habits as well as how Australians view crucial issues such as algorithms and news personalisation.
Sora Park, Professorial Research Fellow and lead author of the report, will highlight the key findings from this year’s study. Following this, N&MRC's Caroline Fisher, will host a discussion with our expert panel including:
• Louise Willis, ABC Canberra
• Dave Earley, The Guardian Australia
• John-Paul Moloney, The Canberra Times
• Ginger Gorman, BroadAgenda
