Led by the ambitions of disabled artists, Drake Music Scotland works with composers, music creators, ensembles and performers to change music for good by amplifying voices, raising visibility and providing support to achieve artistic and musical ambitions which is essential for disabled artists to thrive.  We are dedicated to developing instruments, repertoire and accessible technology and we champion new ways to engage in creative activity.

In this performance, we will explore the beneficial effects of creative expression, both for it's cathartic impact on the artist and the barrier breaking possibilities technology and therapeutic practices involving music can have on the lives of everyone. 

Hosted by multi-award winning entertainer Sean Logan, we shall listen and see first hand the music of Digital Orchestra, an ensemble ascending the limitations of physical disability to deliver live electronic compositions using bespoke instruments to facilitate musical expression of high caliber. 

The work of Paul and Farhad exhibit a variety of sonic delights akin to the work of Floating Points and electronic artists in the same vein. The emotional depth emphasising the true scope of a gifted artistic ability. 

The enchanting compositions of Rhona Smith bring traditional acoustic harp tonalities with a truly evocative depth of digital integration with new and emerging technologies. Plucking on the heart strings with a finesse cementing an important entwining between compositional skill and evocative feeling.

Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket. However, concessions prices are there to help anybody attend the show - if you need a lower cost ticket you are in the best position to determine that. No questions asked.

Accessibility:
