Event description
When story meets tech, you get DIGITAL POETICS!
Digital Poetics is Centre for Stories’ exciting new foray into the online world. Featuring async online workshops to follow at your own pace, creative prompts to guide new work, and personalised feedback, participants will develop their authentic creative voice in a uniquely modern setting.
Hosted on its own Discord server, Digital Poetics will transform 10 emerging storytellers aged 16–21 into an interconnected community of tech-savvy creatives.
Storytellers will be coached by writer, technologist and digital rights activist Kat Gledhill-Tucker. Over five weeks, Kat will offer thought-provoking insights, a hand-picked reading list, and techniques to make your writing shine.
As part of The Spark, Digital Poetics has been generously funded by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Healthway, meaning participation is completely free!
Upon completion, Storytellers’ works will be collated and published in a digital literary magazine.
However you write, wherever you’re from, whatever pace suits you best. Digital Poetics accommodates it all. Places are limited, so sign up now! Creative writing has never been newer!
Digital Poetics will commence on Monday 14 July 2025 and continue through to Monday 18 August 2025. Applicants must be aged 16–21.
