Technology meets rotational holistic grazing.
Over the last year high stock density grazing trials have been monitored with biomass and biological on-ground monitoring, and drone and satellite data.
The day will cover:
- a welcome to country and overview of Healthy Coutnry Planning
- calibrating on ground data with drone and satellite data
- how to increase grass density and diversity, improve water infiltartion, soil moisture retention, nutrient cycling and soil stability
- how and what to measure to know how management is impacting pasture and soil health
- what is the most profitable, low risk and rapid way to restore soil health with grazing
- what is the science behind reading the land
- case studies on highly profitable farmers who are building their soil health and grass inventory
- how to improve water infiltartion, nutrient cycling and soil stability
- how to set up convenient day to day management that is profitable and enjoyable
- designing fencing and water infrastructure
- developing grazing plans to know how much grass you have ahead of you
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
