Online Digital Storytelling Workshop

Open to anyone who would like to create a personal story and who has a life limiting illness, is caring for someone, and / or is experiencing grief through loss.

Create your own story in this six-week ‘hands-on, interactive experience'.

The story can be about anything. We will provide story prompts before the workshop to help you think of an idea.

Offered by Care Beyond Cure in partnership with StoryCentre Canada StoryCenter

Presented with the assistance of Department of Health Tasmania.

When:

 Starting Friday 13 February 9.30-11.30 for six sessions over seven weeks.

We allow a week to work on editing.

(Dates: Friday 13, 20, 27 February, 6, BREAK  20, 27 March)

Where: Online - Number: 10 Max

Cost: $180.00.  We do not want cost to be a barrier.  Please get in touch to discuss if needed.

Financial contribution goes towards establishing Tender Funerals in Tasmania.

The workshop includes six online group meetings in addition to individual support.

You will:

• Get an overview of the StoryCentre Unfor’s seven steps of digital storytelling.

• Take part in a story circle process

• Identify a personal story and craft a written narrative or script

• Learn about, then create both audio and visual (from photos, clips, sound files)

• Edit and finalise a video with support

Notes

You will need a computer with a Chrome browser and a smartphone Tablet and iPad’s wont work for the story creating/editing.

You will have access to video editing software during the workshop.

Before the workshop starts, you will get instructions about how to prepare and what to expect.
