Understand how Artificial Intelligence (AI), and in particular Generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT), can be used to transform your business.

This two-day course discusses the increased pressure businesses are under to adopt new technologies and digitally transform, in particular AI. This course looks at how Generative AI can impact the organisation at the individual, team and strategic level to improve competitiveness.

This course is targeted at those who have little to no knowledge of how their organisations can benefit from utilizing this technology.

What will you gain?

By the end of this introductory course you will be able to:

  • Understand how the exponential nature of technology is disrupting the current business climate.
  • Evaluate the micro, meso and macro-level impact of AI in general, and Generative AI in particular on your business.
  • Start developing a vision for your company in an AI-saturated world.
  • Assess your company’s digital maturity and develop a practical strategy to increase employees’ digital maturity in order to better embrace the opportunities presented by technologies like AI.
  • Develop a personal productivity strategy to understand how AI tools can be used to make you (and your team) more productive.
  • Understand the ethical implications of integrating AI into your personal life and company practices.
  • Start developing a governance framework for the ethical use of AI.

Course structure

The course runs over two consecutive days and uses an engaging and practical approach, where you will actively use examples from your own life and company throughout the course.

Course Facilitator

Elsamari Botha - MBA Director

Dr Elsamari Botha - is the MBA Director and a senior lecturer above the bar in Digital Transformation and Technology Preparedness at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and an extraordinary associate professor at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa. She attained her PhD at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.

Elsamari was the Academic Director of Educate24 (a Media24 online education start-up); a research associate at the Institute for Futures Research (IFR); and a frequent speaker at Seamless Africa. Elsamari’s research focuses on online consumer behaviour, digital transformation, and digital disruption and its associated technologies. Elsamari has published in leading international journals.

This Workshop is $2100pp including GST and Humanitix booking fees.
