FAQs

  • Is this event for beginners or those starting from scratch?

Yes. This is a foundation level workshop to introduce concepts of collections digitisation. It is ideal for those who know what digitisation is but are not sure where to start or what to do next.

It is also suited to organisations looking to refresh or review their existing collections digitisation work.

  • Can I attend this virtual workshop if I am based in Perth?

    Yes.

We run virtual and in-person versions of this workshop specifically to address the challenges of travel and access to PD in our State. However, if you cannot attend the In-Person Half Day Workshop on 20th November you can attend the virtual session.

Alternately, you can email WABranch@amaga.org.au to arrange a personalised training session for yourself or your organisation, or request the workshop be run again. We're open to re-running sessions if there is enough interest,

  • Do I need a paid subscription to Zoom in order to attend the virtual workshop?

    No.

You can join most Zoom sessions without creating a Zoom account if you're invited by the meeting host (that's AMaGA WA in this case)

You'll only need a Zoom account if:

    • You're hosting or scheduling meetings.

    • The meeting host requires authentication.

    • You want to manage your personal settings or subscription.

For more information about accessing Zoom, visit their FAQs page.

  • I'm not confident using online tools - will I still be able to participate?
