Dingo Festival presents: 'The Songs We Carry'
Description
What song do you carry, and what story does it hold?
Step inside Polish, Bangalow’s former Masonic Hall and discover 'The Songs We Carry', an intimate installation of music, memory, movement and conversation.
Enter a 20-minute one-to-one encounter with creative director/performer, Philip Channells (Dance Integrated Australia). Choose a vinyl record, bring a song of your own, or simply stop by for a listen and a chat. If you’d like to donate a record or two to the project, feel free.
Share the memory your music holds and discover how it might move through your body. A story, a gesture, a sway, a breath or a feeling is enough. Each encounter is captured through a Polaroid portrait.
