Dinner in the Grove

Dress head to toe in white and join us for a summer evening under the trees at Taumata School, with a Pepper & Me picnic, live music and entertainment. All funds go to Stage 2 of our school landscaping. R18.

Join us for a summer night in the Taumata School grove. Dress all in white, bring your friends, and settle in at our long tables for a Pepper & Me picnic, drinks from the bar and entertainment through the evening.

Samba dancers, fire performers, jazz and a live band will keep things going, and there'll be dancing, a raffle, and a live auction on the night.

Every ticket helps fund Stage 2 of the school landscaping, making our outdoor spaces better for our tamariki.

Time: 6pm to midnight

Where: Taumata School grove, 145 Mortlake Heights, Pyes Pa, Tauranga

Dress code: All white, cocktail style, head to toe

Age: R18. Please bring photo ID.

Wet weather: We're going ahead rain or shine. If the weather turns, we'll move the evening inside to the school hall.

TICKET TYPES

Tickets are sold in pairs, as each picnic is made for two.

Standard Summer Picnic

Early bird: $200 per pair ($100 each), until 30 November 2026 or the first 80 places

Full price: $250 per pair ($125 each), from 1 December 2026

A seat at our long white tables, a Pepper & Me summer picnic for two, live music and entertainment. Drinks are available to buy from the bar. 150 places available.

VIP Summer Picnic Experience: $400 per pair ($200 each)

Premium seating, a deluxe Pepper & Me picnic for two with burrata and antipasto in a cooler bag that's yours to keep, two bottles of wine, a cocktail on arrival and a few extra treats. Only 50 VIP places.

ON THE MENU

Fresh baked ficelle, whipped feta with hot honey, Green Goddess potato salad, chicken and brie salad, pork and apple sausage rolls, brandy snap cheesecake and dark chocolate mousse.

Gluten free and vegetarian options are available, just let us know your pair's dietary needs when you book. Please note the menu contains nuts, dairy and gluten.

SEATING

Seats are not allocated. You select your seat on the night, so come as a group and find your seats together.

GOOD TO KNOW

Dress code is all white, head to toe. It's what makes the night look so special, so we'd love everyone to join in.

This is an R18 event. Photo ID may be checked at the gate and at the bar.

It's a licensed event with a bar on site, EFTPOS only, with non-alcoholic drinks and water available. No BYO alcohol.

We're on the grass, so you might want to leave the stilettos at home and bring a wrap for later in the evening.

Please plan a safe ride home.

Raffle tickets are 3 for $25 on the night, and you can add a donation of any amount at checkout.

A booking fee is added at checkout.

Photos and video will be taken on the night and may be used by Taumata School in newsletters, on social media and to promote future events. If you'd rather not be photographed, just let our photographer know on the night.

Tickets are non-refundable, but you're welcome to transfer them to someone else.
