TK Dinosaur Puppet Workshops
Event description
Theatre Kimberley is excited to offer these FREE dinosaur puppet making workshops with Perth based, puppeteer and puppet artist, Karen Hethey. We are working in partnership with the Dinosaur Coast Management Group to bring you the exciting opportunity to create your own dinosaur, like one that actually once roamed Broome's Dinosaur Coast!
Choose the Monday series OR the Tuesday series - as there are two options.
Due to the library's requirements, children must attend with a parent or guardian.
Bring us your plastics! We are re-using plastic bottles to craft these prehistoric creatures. Please bring us well-washed plastic milk, juice, cordial or water bottles of all sizes to create your masterpiece.
Performance Opportunity to follow! Following the creation of your dinosaur, we would love to have you perform with it on stage in Theatre Kimberley's 2020 Worn Art Revamped production, Te Kore - A World Beyond. The show dates are 6 & 7 November, and performers will be required to attend additional rehearsals leading up to the shows. You are not required to perform if you book in to do the puppet workshops - but we would like to encourage all participants to at least consider it, as our shows are always great fun! More information regarding rehearsals and performances will be given in the workshops.
If you have questions, please contact Meredith Bell at artisticdirector@theatrekimberley.org.au.
