🏉 About the NZ Falcons Rugby Purchas Cup Committee

The Purchas Cup Committee is the dedicated organising group within NZ Falcons Rugby, Aotearoa’s premier inclusive rugby team. Formed to lead the Falcons’ campaign toward the Purchas Cup — Australasia’s largest LGBTQIA+ rugby tournament — the committee is responsible for:

Coordinating team travel, accommodation, and logistics
Planning training schedules and squad selection
Fundraising to support all players to attend, regardless of financial background
Representing the Falcons proudly on and off the field

The committee is made up of passionate volunteers – players, alumni, and allies – who believe rugby is for everyone. Their mission is to ensure that New Zealand’s inclusive rugby legacy continues to thrive on the regional and international stage.

Every dollar raised through events like Dirty Trivia directly supports this mission — helping cover tournament costs, player gear, and making sure no teammate is left behind.
