Disagreeing Together
Description
We aren’t great at disagreeing with each other. In fact, most often in leftist organising spaces, disagreement leads to people leaving groups, people getting cancelled and generally a doubling down on our position. It’s a problem. But what if we could both remain connected and disagree at the same time? What if we could learn from the arguments that we disagree with? What if we could increase our patience for another person’s perspective? Especially when that person is “on our side” in more ways than not. This workshop is about noticing what happens for us in disagreement. We will strengthen our skills of awareness and get curious about what showing up well in disagreement can look like. We believe that these are critical skills for social change.
This workshop will be repeated on the 11th of July - https://events.humanitix.com/disagreeing-together3
