Discern & Decide — How to Navigate AI with God's Wisdom
Event description
In a world where information travels faster than wisdom, how do we pause long enough to listen for truth?
Every day, we're flooded with messages, videos, and articles, and many are shaped by algorithms we don't see and Artificial Intelligence we don't fully understand. Like many of you, I've shared compelling content only to wonder later: Should I have paused first? I've watched misinformation spread and seen how even well-meaning messages can deepen division.
This workshop isn't about having answers—it's about learning together. I'm still figuring this out too, which is why we need each other's wisdom and experiences.
Together, we'll explore:
A simple visual framework for deciding what to share, question, or let go;
How Philippians 4:8 becomes our spiritual filter for digital content;
Stories from our own lives—what helps, what hinders; and
Finding courage to pause when everything says "React now."
Whether technology excites or exhausts you, your perspective matters. We all have blind spots, but together, we have wisdom.
In an age of artificial intelligence, perhaps what we need most is each other—human patience, honest questions, and gentle accountability. Our parish has always been strongest when we help each other grow.
Come as you are, with your doubts and curiosity. Let's learn together.
Your contribution helps cover lunch, printed materials, and supports others in our parish to attend. Suggested amount is $15, but feel free to pay more or less based on your situation. We’re grateful for your presence, whatever you can give.
