Panelists:
James Dorey
Entomologist, photographer and lecturer at the University of Wollongong, Dr James Dorey has combined a love of two fields to produce stunning images of insects with both scientific and artistic value.
Dr Dorey has released a book, Bees of Australia – A Photographic Exploration, published through CSIRO, as well as contributing to many respected magazines, journals, and awards. in 2022 he won the Botanical category in the Australian Geographic ANZANG photography competition. Bridgette Gower
Bridgette Gower is a well-known macro photographer from Cairns and owner of Aussie Macro Photos. Over the past two years Bridgette has dedicated every spare minute to finding, photographing and identifying some of the world's smallest animals. Aussie Macro Photos offers Let's Go Buggin tours, a guided nature photography tour through Cairns Botanic Gardens and international photography expeditions to Sumatra and India.
Bridgette's photographs have been featured in many publications, including Photo Review Magazine and Sydney Morning Herald and she is an OM SYSTEM Ambassador.  See Bridgette's photos here.
Sophie McDonaldÂ
Sophie McDonald is an avid surfer, beekeeper and creative living in Byron Bay, NSW. As Flow’s Social Media Manager, Sophie started learning about beekeeping a year ago when she caught her first swarm from a mango tree with the help of Flow Founder, Cedar Anderson. She spends most of her time filming bees and helping to spread awareness for our incredible pollinators.
