Discover Randwick's Hidden Rainforest - Fred Hollows Reserve
Event description
Join us for a guided walk through the enchanting Fred Hollows Reserve with Randwick Council's Bushland Officer, Emily Strautins. You'll explore lush greenery, native trees, and ferns. Wander across the suspended footbridge, discover the unique flora and fauna, and learn about the reserve's ecological significance from your expert guides.
As you venture through this tropical-like haven, you'll experience the beauty of the last open stream in Sydney's eastern suburbs, and perhaps even spot some of the local Kookaburras. It’s the perfect way to connect with nature and escape from the summer heat while discovering the hidden gems of this calming reserve.
Before the tour start, respected Aboriginal elder Aunty Maxine Ryan from La Perouse will share her cultural knowledge, experiences and stories of the local coastal area.
Meet at Bligh Place entrance to Fred Hollows Reserve.Â
