Discover Roadblocks in Writing - Ages 16+
Event description
Join us for a special event as part of our Community Development Series, featuring Joanne Zara Ellen Morrell — acclaimed author, freelance writer, and podcaster based in Perth, Western Australia.
Whether you’re an aspiring or published author, join non-fiction and contemporary fast-paced women’s fiction author and podcaster Joanne (Zara Ellen) Morrell for a 1-hour session in discovering what some of the roadblocks in writing are. You will identify, acknowledge and gain an understanding of internal and external author fears which have the potential to hold you back from putting your work out there. Some of these include imposter syndrome, being rejected, being judged by others, money, time, unsupportive people, craft fears, self-doubt and much more.
From lived experience, Joanne offers tips to potentially overcome these roadblocks, so you can take comfort in knowing your author fears are valid. Other writers feel the same way you do but are not letting fear stop them from putting themselves out there.
