SORTEE Webinar: DisMAP - a visualization, analysis, data-sharing and discovery tool to evaluate marine species distribution changes through time

The Distribution Mapping and Analysis Portal (DisMAP) is a user friendly and interactive website designed to improve ease of access to and exploration of species distribution data. It allows users to examine changes in species distributions over time by looking at both location maps as well as graphs of key indicators of a species distribution (changes over time in latitude, depth, range limits). In this webinar I will introduce the portal, describe how the data on the portal is compiled and analyzed, and demo how users can interact with the data on the portal. I will also introduce a new R package being developed that provides functions to easily interact with DisMAP APIs.
