DISP in 2025: Changes, learnings, and staying ahead of the curve
Event description
Whilst it has now been a year since updates were made to the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), defence industry security requirements have continued to evolve, making DISP compliance more complex than ever before.
From the elevation to Maturity Level 2 of the Essential Eight to new governance, audit and reporting requirements, there’s a lot for DISP members and applicants to keep up with.
Having supported more than 200 organisations across Australia with DISP membership and compliance services, De Stefano & Co is well-positioned to share what we’re seeing on the ground, and how you can stay one step ahead.
Join us on Thursday 23 October as our experts Jeremy Watkinson and David Kameniar unpack:
A brief introduction to the DISP program
The DISP membership prioritisation process, and tips to move your application up the list
Insights from the shift from Maturity Level 1 to Maturity Level 2 of the Essential Eight - What’s changed and what we’ve learnt from our clients
Cyber security Maturity Action Plans (MAPs) – Overview and tips for completion
Additional cyber security policies and procedures required for DISP compliance
How DISP aligns with CMMC, NIST and DFARS, for those eyeing international Defence opportunities
Plus, Tracy Pierce will provide a breakdown of the Security stream of the Defence Industry Development Grants (DIDG) Program, including which DISP-related activities are eligible for funding (and which aren’t).
If you’re responsible for security or compliance in a Defence-connected business, this is your chance to get clarity, confidence and actionable advice from the team that lives and breathes DISP every day.
