Behaviour Support Interventions - Workshop for neuropsychology students, registrars and early career clinicians
Event description
3 part workshop
Thursday 23rd, 30th March & 6th April 2023
Challenging behaviours such as aggression, sexually and socially inappropriate behaviours, and reduced initiation are common following acquired brain injury and present considerable difficulty for workers, family members and clients.
This series of workshops is aimed at neuropsychology students, registrars and early career clinicians. It will provide a core understanding of why these behaviours occur, how to conduct a behaviour assessment, how best to communicate with clients displaying challenging behaviours, and practical skills and strategies for dealing with complex situations.
Case studies will be used throughout the workshop as a vehicle to convey the practicalities and considerations of community-based behaviour support interventions.
