Divergent Discussion - Navigating Neurodiversity with Michelle
Event description
Join our Divergent Discussions, a neurodivergent-led series designed to help you better understand and appreciate your neuro-spicy brain. Meeting weekly, this first series focuses on navigating employment through a neurodivergent lens. We'll explore topics like PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD), stimming, anxiety, small talk, sensory sensitivities, and leveraging your unique strengths at work.
Connect with others who get it and build confidence in managing work environments that often weren't designed with us in mind.
What to expect at our sessions:
Our sessions are focused on exploring neurodivergence and life experiences. Our events are hosted by neuro-affirming psychologists and lived experience educators. There is a short presentation, with opportunities to listen, reflect, and connect in a supportive, accessible environment.
You are welcome to engage in ways that feel comfortable for you—whether that means listening quietly or joining conversations at your own pace.
The practicalities:
✔ Camera – You can have your camera on or off - you decide.
✔ Listening is participation – You do not need to introduce yourself, speak, or engage in conversation unless you feel comfortable.
✔ It’s okay to move or take breaks
✔ No pressure stay the whole time
✔ Optional networking – After the discussion, you can stay and chat with others, or leave right away if that’s what works best for you.
Come as you are and connect with others who truly understand.
