Diversity & Inclusion – Bias in Organisations

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Issues around diversity and inclusion have often been raised as a strong area of interest in our discussions with ODA members and the broader community. Our March event will bring us together to focus on this topic and in particular share our understanding and experience of bias in organisations.

Ieta D’Costa works as a radiation oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and is conducting research to better understand the experience of indigenous Australians in accessing cancer care. In the course of her research, Ieta has gained new insights about bias in organisations, and how it impacts wellbeing in our community.

Ieta will share her story, and we will use this as a starting off point for a discussion of our own experience of how bias impacts organisations. And how we as individuals can recognise and manage our own biases, and support others to do the same.

We look forward to you joining us for this valuable opportunity to participate, reflect and inform your own insights into this complex and important issue.
