Divine Feminine; all profits directly to Toora

Are you sick of sausage parties? We are too. We are femme, filthy and fed up. 

The doof and electronic scene in canberra and beyond is exclusionary. Full stop. Women inspire so much movement, fashion, culture and fluidity and yet we are consistently left out of the curation of the very events that we are expected to dance for.

We have decided to run an entirely female focused event. Run for anyone and everyone, but by women. A boogie for the continuously underrepresented. Please join us for a night of fun, feminine, fuck-ass funk. Remember its not a clitori its a clitorous! 

Divine is a place for movement, mindfulness, music and creativity.  Be bold, be yourself and allow yourself to be outrageously feminine in whatever capacity that means for you. 

All profit proceeds will go towards Toora , your ticket price will be self-nominated and go directly to supporting women through housing, safety, mental health, substance use support and overall wellbeing practices.

This event is Non-Exclusive for FLINTA*, which means anyone can attend (yes boys, you too) however, we are dedicated to platforming these groups explicitly. We ask male-identifying supporters to please be mindful of this, to be aware of your actions and intentions in this space. 

FLINTA* stands for women, lesibians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people. 

Divine is a female only curated day party dedicated to exhibiting FLINTA* DJ’s, artists and creatives. We are committed to building a safe space for female and other marginalized gender identities to express themselves,  to move unflinchingly, and to create passionately. 

Anyone who does not share these values is unwelcome. Door staff hold the right to refuse entry to anyone we deem incompatible with our values - refunds will be issued. Any displays of discrimination, harrasment or bigotry will be immediately removed. 

We encourage you to invite your friends but consider whether they are the right person for this event! 

Photography/filming by ticketholders is not permitted to ensure that everyone feels comfortable to express themselves, particularly for those experimenting with gender expression. Dont stress divas, your outfit wont go unappreciated, there will be organisers taking photos in a respectful and consensual manner.

Toora is a Canberra-based, not-for-profit organisation led by women, for women, committed to gender equity, safety and social justice. Toora supports women in our community through housing, safety, mental health, substance use support and overall wellbeing. At its core, Toora champions agency, dignity, safety and respect, values that Divine stands for. 

With everything happening across the country, we are tired of a culture that continues to fail women. We are tired of systemic violence. As young women, we want to do more than just talk about change. We want to contribute to it. We believe meaningful change starts with supporting the women in our own community, particularly those facing barriers to safety, security and opportunity. 

That is why we are raising money for Toora Women. Tickets are pay-what-you-can, with a minimum contribution of $10. Every contribution helps support the work they do, and every dollar makes a difference. Whether you donate a little or a lot, you are helping support women who deserve to feel safe, respected and empowered.
