Event description

DIVINE THEATRIX

Imagine stepping onto a stage exclusively yours, where you are the director, writer, and star of your life’s story.

To explore the life you feel simmering beneath the surface, to connect with who you truly are.

A stage where you learn to trust your deepest impulses and desires, unlocking parts of yourself that you never thought existed.

Arrive with a monologue, poem, scene, song or dance you feel inspired by, or instinctively feel contains the qualities you wish to explore and integrate into your life.

We traditionally associate the theatre with entertainment, but this isn’t about giving the “best performance” it’s about being receptive to the soul intelligence that expresses itself through your body and enacting that.

We experience Acting as a Ritual for Healing, Self-discovery and Personal Freedom. So that you can realise that you hold the key to exploring the life you’ve always wanted to live.

To play the role of the True Self you were destined to play.

What’s in it for me?

1. A stage to claim and express who you truly are.
2. Release doubt and fear.
3. Let go of limiting beliefs.
4. Learn to trust and surrender.
5. Open your voice and body.
6. Anchor your presence.
7. Reclaim your Power.

Preparation

Please come prepared with either a monologue, poem, scene, dance or song to share. Improvisation is also very welcome. We welcome the diversity of expression.

Each participant will have up to 10 minutes on stage, divided into two 5-minute blocks. You can choose to share one piece twice, with a prompt provided for the second performance, or share two different pieces.

We also strongly welcome all those who wish to just witness the magic and participate through being an audience member, an equally valuable contribution that makes the evening what it is.

Additional Info

Due to the structure of the night, arriving on time is important to ensure everything runs smoothly and we honour the time we have for each person to share their piece. Please arrive 10 minutes early (6:20 pm). If you are late, you will need to wait outside until the opening meditation is completed, as the doors lead directly to the stage.

To begin the evening we will start with a group meditation to relax, centre the body, and connect the group, followed by an introduction on how the night will flow.

There will also be a 10-minute tea intermission and bathroom break.

If you’ve never stepped onto a stage before this is the perfect opportunity to do so in a supportive environment. If you are an actor/artist, be prepared to be stretched deeper into your craft or simply to just be witnessed. Come with an open mind. Let go of any expectations.

This is a community event, everyone is welcome.

About Igor Kreyman

"If you were the actor, writer and director of your life, what kind of story would you create?"

Igor is a healing arts practitioner who explores Acting As RItual for Healing, Self-Discovery and Personal Freedom.

Growing up in the Film and Theatre world gave Igor an intimate view of the power of Acting and how the soul and body intersect as a passageway for healing. These learnings revealed to him the art of listening to the silent language of the body, now a central element in how he guides people to gain greater awareness of their inner life, emotions, and psyche.

Igor brings over a decade of experience in Film, TV, and Theatre to the stage. He completed a two-year program at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney and furthered his studies in Los Angeles under "The Actors Guardian Angel" John Kirby and the late and beautiful Elizabeth Kemp from the Actors Studio in New York. Noticeable film credits include "One Less God," which won Best Film at the Byron Bay Film Festival and The Dances With Film Festival which premiered at the Chinese Grauman's Theatre in Los Angeles.

Igor also pays homage to his mentors Lenita Vangellis, Luna Wood, Velan Cadden, and Carmita Vicente, who have all played significant roles in the deepening of his artistic process and soul expression.
